Marko Kassl is a versatile and imaginative accordionist, exploring a wide range of musical styles – after all, life is too short to be limited by boundaries.

With Black Pencil he delves into over a thousand years of musical history, from medieval times to the avant-garde of today.

With Firasso, he performs his own compositions, infused with the spirit of tango, klezmer, balkan music, and jazz.

In Duo MARES, next to performing classical chamber music he expands the repertoire for the unique combination of viola and accordion.

He regularly collaborates with orchestras, contemporary music ensembles, and dance and theatre companies, constantly seeking new artistic encounters.

Marko Kassl also leads an accordion class at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
