Ensemble Stationen NRW
The Ensemble Stationen NRW was founded 2014 by Landesmusikrat NRW for the project Stationen II.
Ten proficient instrumentalists were selected by ten different New Music associations of North Rhine-Westphalia. The extraordinary mix of those ten musicians toured North Rhine Westphalia with composed and improvised music.
The ensemble’s repertoire is a mix of compositions, mainly ones composed particularly for Ensemble Stationen NRW (Jörg-Peter Mittmann, Peter Gahn, Ulrich Schultheiss, Christian Banasik, Johannes Marks) and different kinds of improvisation (intuitive music, guided impro, concept music).
It was invited amongst others to Ensemblia Festival Mönchengladbach 2015, Klangbrück Aachen and Klangzeitfestival Münster.
