There is a lot of air in the combination of this trio’s instruments – bass clarinet, trombone and accordion! The music is seriously playful and playfully serious – new works by Héctor Moro and Philemon Mukarno challenge the recordings of classic Hosokawa, Grisey and Wolff.

There are three world premiere recordings on this album: Philemon Mukarno’s “Farah”, which has also been dedicated to the performing trio and commissioned by the Performing Arts Fund NL, Héctor Moro’s “Lichtzwang, ein wütendes Spielzeug” – and also Toshio Hosokawa’s already classic “Into the Depth of Time” is heard here for the very first time on record in the version for clarinet/bass clarinet and accordion.
